At Planet A, Laura leads communications initiatives while also assisting founders in crafting their companies’ brands. She has experience in top-tier strategy consulting and PR campaigning. Additionally, Laura holds a degree in Political Science.
Sam holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering and brings over 10 years of experience in pioneering and scaling innovative operations across Europe. At Planet A, Sam leverages his expertise to drive impactful deep-tech investments within our team.
Benedikt holds a Master of Science degree and a PhD in environmental engineering. At Planet A, Benedikt is responsible for impact assessments, methodology development and calculating the LCAs.
Jess holds a politics degree from Cambridge. Before joining the team, she worked as an analyst in a climate VC and a researcher for the UN. At Planet A, Jess focuses on the sectors of energy and heat, as well as mobility and transport.
Kim is responsible for building different ecosystems that nurture our climate tech startups. From talents, angel investors to corporates, Kim connects the dots and enables the collaboration of different stakeholders. With her background in talent in high-growth scale-ups as well as venture capital, she also assists founders in building sustainable organizations.
Fridtjof co-founded his first company, Jimdo, in 2007, a website builder that now empowers over 25 million users. Driven by his passion for impactful entrepreneurship, he went on to co-found Planet A, where he focuses on investor relations and developing our platform to support founders on the operational side. Fridtjof is also a member of The Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee of the Federal Government.
With an Engineering background, Joscha brings a passion for operational efficiency and automation to Planet A. He handles our data, streamlines operations, and drives innovation through smart automation. Before joining, he gained experience at tech leaders like IBM, Atlassian, and Canva.
Nick is a seasoned industrial engineer and entrepreneur with a strong background in deep tech, including blockchain, AI, and IoT. At Planet A, he leads fundraising efforts and expands our network in the European investment landscape, with key interests in energy, transport, and communications technologies.
Christoph has been a serial entrepreneur (e.g., myphotobook, enorm, Tomorrow Bank, Leaders for Climate Action) and startup investor for more than 12 years. At Planet A, he is your go-to when it comes to deal flow in food tech, manufacturing, and construction, while also spearheading our investor relations.
Christian is an experienced scientist, consultant, entrepreneur, and business developer in both the chemicals and biotech industries. Christian holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. At Planet A he focuses on the areas of food tech, manufacturing, construction, and hydrogen.
Siyana holds a master’s degree in economics and brings 3 years of experience at Deutsche Apotheker- und Aerztebank. At Planet A, Siyana is the backbone of our finance, reporting and accounting.
Tobias is an experienced manager and senior investment professional, with nearly a decade at Hanse Ventures and a background as Publishing Director at a leading German news magazine. He now dedicates his expertise to advancing climate action. Tobias is responsible for managing the fund’s deal flow. His key focus areas include Water, Waste & Remediation as well as AgTech & Forestry. Planet A’s HR division also falls within his area of responsibility.
Kritesh holds an M.Sc. degree in renewable energy engineering and management. At Planet A, he assesses the environmental impact of investment opportunities and supports strategy and methodology development, utilising his experience in conducting LCAs, PEF, PCF, and LCA database development.
Ulrike is a seasoned assistant with a rich background in both the startup world and corporate company building. At Planet A, she plays a crucial role in various areas, from communications to daily operations, ensuring that the wheels keep turning smoothly.
Lena is a seasoned environmental and climate policy expert, who advised the German government on sustainable finance, as well as spearheaded initiatives in East Africa targeting biodiversity and water resource management. At Planet A she leads the science team, setting a new standard for assessing environmental impact in VC.
David brings more than 20 years of experience in climate regulation, energy transition and policies and markets for green technologies. At Planet A, he and his team help navigate the future green-tech policy landscape, shape cleantech markets and consult on public affairs.
